Back in the ages before the late 90’s, almost all the companies or organizations would have at least a printer and a few packages of white paper. People have to buy some books if they want to read something. But today, every company have to work with PDF documents, classified documents would be save as PDF and encrypted, contract usually created in PDF. Writers would publish their novels or books in PDF format. PDF is the standard format for scanning, sharing and storage. Paperless office and electronic books become a trend.
PDF can be created easily by some word processors, for example, Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010, Google doc and Open Office and so on. The word processors usually contain the function of “Save as PDF”. However, convert the PDF format back to other format is much difficult for PDF users.
Convert PDF to Word
Although many PDF files are created from Word format, it is very difficult to convert them back to Word. Especially if we need to preserve the original text content, images, layouts and even hyperlinks. And many PDF owners would set the restrictions of copying and printing, the owner password makes the conversion much more difficult.
There are some free online PDF to Word Converters. However, they are not that reliable and stable. Would you dare to upload the classified document or personal PDF to the Internet? No. And it may take a long time waiting for the converted Word document. So a good desktop PDF to Word converter is needed.
What is the standard of a good PDF to Word converter? First of all, good output quality is required, if it returns a Word document which is all messed up, the conversion is meaningless. Original text content, images, layouts should be well retained. Secondly, it should be easy-to-use, no one would like to spend a whole day sitting in front of the screen learning a PDF converter. Last but not least, there should be some extra functions like batch conversion, partial conversion, right click conversion and even the ability of convert protected PDF. That would give the users a better experience and convenience.
Convert PDF to Text
If someone just need the text content from a PDF, copy and paste is not the only option. You must be frustrated if you can not copy because PDF is protected by owner password. What can we do if we meet this situations? A converter which can convert the PDF to text will solve your problems.
Convert PDF to HTML
Converting PDF to HTML provides another way for those PDF users who want to share PDF files with others online, for example, webmaster, bloggers, or eBook lovers. Usually we need to upload the PDF files to the Internet to get the URL, then add the PDF files to the website by adding the HTML language <a href=”the URL”>the PDF title</a> in the body, so that vistors can download and view PDF using PDF reader. Safari has a built-in PDF reader, but it's just that – a reader.
Go to Control Panel ->Add or Remove Programs ->Then on the left side of the opened window click on Set Programs Defaults and Access ->Custom and then set it.
OR
Right click on any pdf file.Go to Properties then click change and select or browse Adobe acrobat reader then click ok then apply
Sorry, I don't think there is one. I have this phone, and have tried getting just about every possible type of programs for it, including MS Word lol, but haven't come across a .pdf reader. Ive actually searched this before, and other people say there isn't one available for JM2E (java enabled) phones.
Oh, and the Nokia 6300 WILL read .txt files =)
Remove adobe. Foxit comes up as my default in firefox but I don't have Adobe Reader installed.
Go to Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs. Find your Adobe Reader thing and uninstall it. Open your Program Files folder and delete the folder "Acrobat". Reboot. Connect to the Internet and download the latest Adobe Reader version.
Hope it helps
Steve
I think your phone is S40 based and there arn't any viruses for your phone nor are there any antivirus apps for this reason, if your having probs with the phone then restore it back to factory setting and that should solve the problem. And since your phone is S40 based and supports java apps then as far as i know there arn't any PDF readers that you can download.
You can Foxit reader.
You can find the Sony PRS-500 on Ebay (used) for about $125 usually.
The Sony Reader is VERY nice and great for ebooks. Unfortunately, it's also pretty darn expensive.
A cheaper route would be going with the following:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3224296&Sku=N529-1130
It has a larger screen than most PDAs, half the price of the Sony and also will allow you to download stuff wirelessly from the internet to read.
Enjoy your ebooks!
